Habitat For Humanity

The Way Home

Overview

For The Way Home, created for Habitat for Humanity Canada, the goal was to craft a powerful narrative that went beyond traditional charity content to illuminate resilience, belonging and the transformative power of a safe home. The campaign follows two family members from a First Nation community as they navigate the Arctic wilderness; not just seeking shelter, but a deeper sense of identity and cultural belonging. Much of the dialogue is authentically presented in Wıìlıìdeh to honour the community’s heritage. Shot in extreme conditions where temperatures dropped to around –45°C, the project demanded both creative ambition and logistical precision to deliver a piece that resonates emotionally while advancing Habitat for Humanity’s mission.

SOLUTION

The Arqtic team provided critical strategic guidance in both planning and production of the project, assembling an exceptional crew and director. Jack was producing both on set and behind the scenes to ensure the vision was realised in one of the most challenging environments imaginable. Arqtic’s leadership facilitated seamless collaboration with the charity and respected Indigenous partners, maintaining creative integrity throughout production.

Once principal photography wrapped, the team ensured post-production was executed to the highest standard, and with incredible attention to detail. The project team not only overcame its harsh shooting conditions, but achieved a cinematic and culturally sensitive campaign that deeply connects with audiences and elevates the client’s story.
